PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKU-EB) offers trainings to all its affiliated schools. Trainings are conducted in a variety of formats in the areas of innovative teaching learning methodologies for multiple domains, resource creation, student engagement techniques for different cognitive levels, assessment of and for learning in the achievement of educational outcomes. All trainings are developed keeping in view the contextual needs and the subject specialization of the participants.

Types of Trainings

SSC / HSSC Orientation

An extensive workshop introducing the purpose, structure and philosophy of AKU-EB, organized for schools affiliating with the examination board for the first time. Interactive teaching methodologies are explored, guiding the engagement with AKU-EB syllabi.

Classroom Observation

Observation of classrooms to gain insights regarding classroom teaching and learning practices. Strengths and areas of improvement are identified, and recommendations are shared to ensure classroom teaching is achieving student learning outcomes and striving for better examination results.

Need Based Workshop

Customized workshops with individual schools, designed with the purpose of driving innovative teaching practices and continuous professional development of participants. The training needs identified by the school and findings from the result of last year’s examination drives the content for these workshops.

Annual Teachers' Training

An annual training that serves as an exciting platform for teachers from all disciplines to engage in professional development and build networks. Workshops are interactive in nature and participants learn through engaging activities and rich discussions.

Workshop With Students

Provides an opportunity for students to interact with representatives of the Examination Board and better understand the AKU-EB examination structure and scoring mechanism.
