Dr Naveed Yousuf has a longstanding relationship with Aga Khan University, spanning over 15 years. He has served in various leadership positions, including as Associate Director, Assessment and Research at the Examination Board for seven years. He is the Chair of the Department for Educational Development, Medical College since 2022. Celebrated for his national contributions towards student assessments, Dr Yousuf received AKU’s University Innovation Impact Award of Distinction in 2022. An esteemed educator, Dr Yousuf received AKU’s Outstanding Teacher Award in 2012 and Faculty Development Award in 2013. He is an Honorary Advisor on Psychometrics for the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) South Asia Region and a founding member of the International Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA) Recognition Committee for developing international standards for examinations worldwide. Dr Yousuf received his PhD in Medical Education focusing on assessment psychometrics and standard setting from Ambrosiana University (Italy) in 2014 and a Fellowship from the University of Illinois at Chicago (USA) on assessment, test development and generalizability theory in 2013. He has several publications in books and indexed journals to his credit.

Hanif manages the operations department at AKU-EB and also handles various administrative and financial matters.
Since joining AKU-EB, some of his major initiatives include development and preparations of SOPs and system improvement processes, procuring an in-house production printer for producing exam papers and the setting up of CCTV for monitoring exam centers across Pakistan.
