AKU-EB Special Examination 2020

As per the Federal Government's promotion policy guidelines and the permission to conduct special examinations, the Aga Khan University Examination Board will hold the Special Examinations from October 22 to October 28, 2020. These examinations are primarily for the SSC-II and HSSC-II candidates and SSC-I and HSSC-I candidates recently promoted to the next level in Annual Examinations 2020 are not eligible to register for the Special Examinations 2020.

Eligibility and Criteria

Category A:

This category caters all candidates who were registered in the Annual Examinations 2020 and are not satisfied with the predicted grades awarded as per the Government's promotion policy or were declared failed. All the candidates falling in this category will have to surrender their original result slip of Annual Examinations 2020 along with this form. Moreover, submission of this form ensures that candidates do not agree with their predicted grades. In any case, candidates will not be allowed to revert to the predicted grades awarded to them after appearing for the Special Examinations 2020.

Category B:

This category caters candidates who were registered in the Annual Examinations 2020 and are satisfied with the predicted grades awarded as per the Government's promotion policy. However, these candidates want to improve their grades by registering for one or more subjects of Part-l or Part-ll or both, in this case their predicted scores for other subjects will remain the same.

In addition, Category B also caters candidates who are already enrolled with the AKU-EB but for any reason were not able to register for the Part-l or Part-ll or both in the Annual Examinations 2020. These candidates are eligible to register for the Special Examinations 2020, keeping the AKU-EB's enrolment validity into consideration.

Moreover, candidates falling under Category A are also eligible for Category B. For example, if a candidate falls in category A (as per the criteria specified) but also wishes to attempt for improvement of grades and/ or any additional subject(s), for which s/he did not register in Annual Examinations 2020, is also considered eligible.

The number of questions in Paper I and/ or Paper II will be in accordance with those mentioned in Exam Specifications (syllabus documents available on our website https://examinationboard.aku.edu/learning-materials/Pages/learning-resources-for-SSC-and-HSSC.aspx) for Annual Examinations 2020.
