Hasegawa Memorial Public School is situated in the heart of Karimabad, Hunza. It was established in 1995 and is housed in a state-of-the-art building preserving local architectural values. It is one of the living legendaries in the region that has emerged as a result of a philanthropic expression in commemorance of the renowned Japanese mountaineer Tuseno Hasegawa. He was buried in the lap of the mountain as per his will.
Apart from our academic activities focused on our immediate goals, we also play the role of a centre for community development by conducting informative sessions relating to child health, public health, and media groups, workshops on behavior and environmental issues and career counseling for the youth.
Our strong linkages with the parents and stakeholders ensure development in the school. While alumni (ex-Hasegawians) are provided opportunities to conduct workshops on different aspects of life like enhancing language skills and ways to hunt scholarships beyond college. These activities bring fresh knowledge and oxygenate the learning environment in the school.
HMPS intends to explore higher horizons of academic development by introducing effective classroom strategies, putting professional skills in action. We have already installed most recent technology in the school to update students' learning skills as well as teachers’ professional skills to enable them to cope with the current rising demand of standard education through technology.
